Education

We are dedicated to educating the community about disc golf. Whether that’s helping with the first throw or teaching official PDGA rules, we want to help you to learn. Our first education project is to bring disc golf into our local schools. We have already started the talks and have an amazing program in the works that you could be a part of. Watch out for updates on this project.

We have invested in technology to help you learn more about your game and can provide the advice to help level it up. In store we have TechDisc and GameProofer smart disc to record your throw using our indoor net or basket. Stop by and ask about our in-store or on the course coaching services.

Course development

Statesville has been fortunate enough to have had an 18-hole course for many years. But like people and cars, courses don’t age well. They need constant upkeep to be the most enjoyable. Statesville Recreation and Parks Department has worked hard to maintain the course since its inception. We intend to help them take it to the next level. Through fundraising and volunteering, we will bring a Pro-level course to Statesville.

While Statesville is a wonderful small town, not everyone in Statesville has access to our local course. We want to bring disc golf to other parts of Statesville, even if it is only 1 basket at a time. Everyone in Statesville should be able to reach a course via a short bicycle ride. Our goal is to make that a reality. If you wish to bring a basket, hole, or course to your property, school, church, or town, send us an email and we will help make it happen.

Inclusion

The great thing about disc golf is that nearly everyone can participate at some level. Unfortunately, the majority of disc golfers fall into one category. We want to grow our local disc golf community to reflect the reality of Statesville’s diversity. We welcome all races, genders, religions, physical abilities, ages, and more to be a part of this community. You are all welcome in our store and on the courses with us. We invite you to bring your differences and ideas to us to help us on our goal of building a more inclusive community.

Retail

This goes without saying, but we want to bring you quality products to help you perform at the level you want. We want you to know that we are a community focused retailer. That is why we are only a ‘brick and mortar’ store. Online orders and shipping would greatly increase our reach and improve our chances of success, but we would be doing a disservice to our vision and the world as a whole. We will utilize the internet to achieve our vision, but we want to connect with you in a face-to-face manner and get to know you.
